Over 70 stakeholders from various disciplines attended the full-day session to hear presentations on lessons learned from three sister-projects: OLAMUR, WIN@sea, and ULTFARMS.
The day included very engaging, interactive workshops that provided opportunities to discuss a framework for a marinemultiuse roadmap. In the afternoon, we received a warm welcome from the organising team of the UN Ocean Decade and Tænketanken Hav. Participants continued discussions and talked about overcoming barriers to coexistence between offshore wind development and the marine environment.
This event comes at a pivotal time, as all three projects are approaching completion. We hope that the insights gained will create momentum to sustain interest and much-needed investment, enabling us to achieve long-term sustainability in a circular blue economy and to protect our ecosystems.
On behalf of OLAMUR, WIN@SEA, and ULTFARMS, we thank the organisers, all attendees, and the funding bodies CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, Mission Ocean and Waters and VELUX FONDEN for making this event possible. We look forward to continued discussions and collaborations to turn these projects into reality!
