“Taste the Ocean” at the Kattegatcentre

We repeated last year’s success and held “Taste of the Sea” again this year – this time every day during the peak season! At the fire pit at Kattegatcentret, guests could taste blue mussels cooked over an open flame with crispy panko, the seaweed variety søl, and a fresh squeeze of lemon – and this year we also served homemade seaweed chips. Healthy, sustainable, and delicious!

The event is part of the WIN@sea project, which focuses on the sustainable cultivation of seaweed and mussels in an offshore wind farm. Through tastings and stories, guests get a taste of the ocean’s resources and gain an understanding of how they can be used in a sustainable way.

It was a pleasure to see both young and old enjoy the experience and hear so many positive comments – a true celebration of the flavors of the sea!
